Pastor Stephen P. BeyerEmail: pastorbeyer@LOLaz.org
If you ask Pastor Steve Beyer (sounds like "buyer") where he's from, Pastor Beyer graduated from Concordia College (Milwaukee), Washington University (St. Louis) and Union Theological Seminary (New York). Following ordination he served as pastor for St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, New York. That's where he met and married the love of his life, Toni. She is a registered nurse and recently went back to school to complete an RN to BSN degree at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
After six years as parish pastor and Navy Reservist, Pastor Beyer was "recalled" to active duty. He and Toni thought they would try it for a few years. Twenty-five years and ten duty stations later he retired from the Navy. For the last year he worked as a chaplain at Norfolk General Hospital as a Clinical Pastoral Education resident in order to sharpen his pastoral care skills. He focused on geriatric behavior health, emergency medicine, end-of-life issues and palliative care.

![]() I know you are curious so here is a little more about me. I am the youngest of three girls and the last to still live in Arizona. We have lived many places starting with Pennsylvania, then to Michigan, Massachusetts and finally in 1971 we moved to Tempe, Arizona.
I graduated from Tempe High School in 1977 and ASU in 1981 with a degree in Criminal Justice. After realizing that I didn’t want to be a lawyer I answered the call to serve God in pastoral ministry and went off to Seminary in Berkeley, CA.
I graduated from Seminary in 1985. I received my first call to serve at Bethel Lutheran Church in Los Angeles, CA in 1986 and was ordained, October 5, 1986. I moved to Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church in San Luis Obispo, CA in 1989. The call of the desert was too strong to resist and in October of 1990 I started at Bethel Lutheran Church in Phoenix. Along the way I gave birth to two wonderful children, Jonathan and Allison. God didn’t create us to be alone. We are at our best when we work together to love and serve Him. I look forward to walking that path with you. Pastor Pam ReynoldsEmail: pastorpam@LOLaz.org
