MISSION ENDOWMENT FUND
Leave a Legacy for Ministry - Gifts that Nurture the Whole Church
PURPOSE
The Mission Endowment Fund at Lord of Life Lutheran Church was established in 2004 with the purpose of providing grants and benevolence gifts for mission work beyond the general benevolence giving of the Congregation.
DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS
Priorities for distribution to organizations are: 1) Lutheran, 2) faith-based, and 3) charitable organizations whose purpose is to provide for human needs. In 2024, a total of $101,155 was donated to seven organizations, most notably $51,000 for scholarships for three incoming Seminary students at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. The Mission Endowment Committee receives the grant requests and recommends the approved mission projects to the Congregational Council for final approval and distribution of the funds.
